At the Kennel Club of Riverside, Gryffindor's Wild Rose O'Starry Glen was Winners Bitch both days to finish her championship.  Rosie becomes the 32nd champion for her sire Ch. Taryn Tate of Limerick SC!  Rosie was bred by Pat Murkland and Jocelyne Gagne and is owned and loved by Pat Murkland.

Ch. Limerick Frosty the Showman wins Select Dog at the Irish Wolfhound Club of Puget Sound under Judge Diane Bresee (Falcarragh Irish Wolfhounds).  Limerick congratulates Ch. Nalaney’s Padraig on his Best of Breed at this specialty.  Paddy was sired by Ch. Nalaney J Connors Of Limerick – a member of our “tennis” litter.  He went on to win Best of Breed the following day at the Western Washington Hound Show as well.

Tryst was bred by Karon Volk and is sired by our GCh. Cash of Limerick. Her dam is Karontara Devil May Care. In Southern California, Gryffindor's Wild Rose O'Starry Glen was best of breed from the classes over a special at the Angeles Canyon Dog Club in southern California under judge Raymund Filburn. Rosie is sired by Ch. Taryn Tate of Limerick SC and her dam is Ch. Glenamadda Starkeeper Verity. Rosie is bred and owned by Pat Murkland.

Limerick Frosty the Showman wins Best of Breed from the Bred By class for a four point major at Western Hound Association of So. California under Mr. Sam Houston McDonald. Frost was also Best in Sweeps under Cathy Heintz and went on to win Best Sweepstakes Puppy in Show! Frost was also cut in the extremely competitive adult hound group. Thank you so much to the breeders, owners, judges, and spectators for all of your kind words about our Frost. We look forward with great anticipation to an exciting future for this young dog!

Our very own Tate daughter, GCh. Carnasserie Grayson of Eagle was Best of Breed! On the same day in Perry, Georgia, Dun Myrica Doctor Gonzo of Eagle was awarded his second major at just 12 months old at the Atlanta Kennel Club show. Doctor Gonzo is a Tate grandson.

Ch. Doomore's Colehaan was best of breed on Saturday and select dog on Sunday at the back to back Chintimini Kennel Club shows in Albany, Oregon. Colehaan is sired by our Ch. Cash of Limerick. On the other side of the country, Ierne's Stella Artois finished her championship and became the 31st champion for our Ch. Taryn Tate of Limerick SC. Stella is bred and owned by Tamara Ritzenthaler and co-owned with her son Sean.

Once again Tate's grandson, GCH. Pinehurst Garret wins the breed at the Scottsdale Dog Fanciers KC show and goes on to another competitive Hound Group 2. Garret is ranked the #1 Irish Wolfhound in the country in both breed and group competition through the end of February 2011 as per the Canine Chronicle stats. Garret managed this ranking by only competing in 7 shows. Congratulations to his breeder, owner and handler Karen Catov-Goodell - Pinehurst.

Tate's grand kids continue to shine as GCH. Pinehurst Garret goes BOB at the big Superstition KC show in Scottsdale, AZ in an entry of 24 wolfhounds and goes on to win the highly competitive Hound Group. Back in California Karontara Tryst at Limerick goes WB at Kings Kennel Club of Hanford.

Ch. Cash of Limerick goes BOB at Sequoia Kennel Club in Hanford, California completing his Grand Championship title. He and his litter brother GCH. Starkeeper McEnroe of Limerick are the first littermates to hold the Grand Champion title. McEnroe and his daughter GCh. Glenamadda Starkeeper Liberty (Lily) are the first Grand Champion father/daughter title holders. See the list of Grand Championship title holders coming down from Tate at the end of this page.

Exciting word from Florida: Limerick's Naughty and Nice Norah from our 2009 Christmas holiday litter received her first two points at the Hernando Kennel Club going WB, BOW and BOB under Bill Cunningham. She was RWB the day before to a 4 point major under Lee Canalizo. On 1/15/11 she was WB and BOS under Bill Russell for one more point at the Inverness KC and on 1/29/11 she was WB for another point under Randy Garren at the Greater Gainesville Dog Association. She also was RWB to a major at the Pasco Kennel Club on 1/23/11. Congrats Norah!!! Norah is owned and loved by Dorothy and Bill Shettle of Riverview, Florida.

We just got word from Karen Catov-Goodell that her GCH. Pinehurst Garret (grandson of our Ch. Taryn Tate of Limerick) swept the best of breed honors all four days at the big all breed shows in Denver this past weekend and received 4 group placements: 2 group twos, a group three and a group four. This dog is on a roll. Congrats Garret and Karen!!

Horizons Tripp to Limerick was WD, BOW and Best of Breed over specials for his second major at the Linn County Kennel Club Show in Albany, Oregon. His uncle, Ch. Cash of Limerick was Select Dog. The next day Horizons Tripp to Limerick was again WD, BOW and Best of Breed over specials for his third major at the McKenzie Cascade Dog Fanciers Show in Albany, Oregon. Tripp also completed his championship on this day.

Cash of Limerick) won back to back majors at the shows in Puyallup, Washington going WD, BOW & BOB over specials at Puyallup Dog Fanciers and WD, BOS and Bred By Exhibitor Group 3 at Tacoma Kennel Club. Dylan is bred, owned and loved by Harley and Lisa Blanchard of Carnation, Washington.

Ch. Pinehurst Garret (grandson of our Ch. Taryn Tate of Limerick) swept the Best of Breed honors all three days on the huge Palm Springs weekend with entries of 47, 43 and 35 including 12, 11 and 10 specials. The last time this was accomplished by an Irish Wolfhound was our Ch. Oxmoon Brogan of Limerick in 2005. Garret is bred, owned and loved by Karen Catov-Goodell of Colorado Springs, Colorado.

On this same weekend another Tate grandson, our very own Horizons Tripp to Limerick, was WD for a major on Sunday under Karen Child. Tripp's dam is our Ch. Horizons Serena of Limerick. Tripp was bred by Jenny Clark & Linda Souza and is owned and loved by Linda Souza, Jenny Clark & Jamie Souza Bartlett. Another Tate granddaughter, Pinehurst Zane, owned and bred by Karen Catov-Goodell was WB, BOW, BOS for a major on Friday under breeder judge Ellen Kroll and WB, BOW for another major on Sunday under Karen Child. Also, on Saturday and Sunday the lovely Tate daughter, Ch. Cu Muirin Turrean (Annie) was BOS. Annie was the Number One Irish Wolfhound in the country in breed competition in 2009. Annie is bred, owned and loved by Sadie Heller of Fallbrook, California. On Friday at the Inland Empire Hound show, Tate's 11 month old son, Gryffindor Colin at Tara Hill, was Best in Sweeps under breeder judge Donna Drake. Colin was bred by Pat Murkland and Jocelyne Gagne and is owned and loved by Barbara Call and Linda Souza. Colin resides in Newport Beach with his primary owner, Barbara Call.
